huge thank you to Nus Ghani MP for her continued support of Smiles and for this absolutely lovely post.
It genuinely means so much to us to have your continued support and for you to take the time to recognise the work we do here with our children, families and animals.
And once again, our apologies that we weren’t quite able to roll out the red carpet for your surprise visit (we have proof we didn’t know you were coming) Had we known you were coming, we might have at least swept a bit more
A huge thank you to Amanda at Tranquility Yoga Studio for running such a lovely yoga session yesterday.
Unfortunately, the weather meant we couldn’t hold the session at the farm as planned, but Amanda very kindly welcomed everyone into her beautiful studio instead.
A big thank you to Lesley Gray for bringing a little bit of the farm with her, so we could still keep that Smiles touch! We were surprised she didn’t bring Dave and co
It was also lovely that some of our yogis came back to the farm afterwards to meet the animals and enjoy a little tour.
Despite the change of venue, it was a really lovely afternoon. Thank you to Amanda, Lesley and everyone who joined us and embraced the change of plans.

SURPRISE,SURPRISE ….
It was lovely to have a surprise visit from our local MP Nus Ghani at Smiles today. Infact, It was such a surprise that Nus didn’t get the usual Smiles welcome when she arrived…
We were in full working farm mode. We had clients attending sessions and the morning animal care team in.. Which meant I wasn’t able to spend any time with her and had to hand over the welcome to our lovely Kaitlan (sorry Kaitlan)!
It was a real shame, as Nus has been incredibly supportive of Smiles in the past, when we won our Countryside Alliance Award and in our charity application. We had really hoped to have the opportunity to talk to her about the ongoing struggles we have faced with the application and to ask for her advice and support once again.
But today she got to see the reality of Smiles — a busy working farm, with our animals being cared for and our clients receiving the support and time they come to us for.
Thank you so much, Nus,for taking the time to visit us. Your continued interest and support genuinely means a great deal to everyone at Smiles!
Sorry we couldn’t get an up to date photo.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE AMAZING AXA TEAM!
We just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to the wonderful team from AXA who joined us for a volunteer day at Smiles
What an incredible group of people! You arrived ready to get stuck in, and the amount you managed to accomplish in just one day was absolutely amazing.
So many jobs were tackled, areas tidied and improved, and things ticked off our never-ending farm to-do list!
Every single person worked so hard, with such great energy and enthusiasm… THANK YOU !

We’re incredibly grateful to be chosen as one of the beneficiaries of this year’s Carnival.
Such a lovely day with an amazing community spirit!
WHAT A NIGHT!!!!
Thank you so much to all that attended our first quiz night!
Blossom & Bean for providing us with such a beautiful venue, great food and drinks!
The fabulous Katie for being our quiz master (thank goodness I didn’t have to do it)!
We raised a whopping £643 for the farm!
